I’m honestly shocked at how bad the sweet burfi turned out this time. It’s absolutely pathetic probably the worst burfi I’ve had in my life. I’m writing this with genuine disappointment because I had high expectations based on my past experience.
A friend of mine brought this burfi for me from pakistan to England a while back, and back then, the taste was amazing – rich, milky, perfectly sweet, and with just the right texture. I was so impressed that I decided to buy 10–15 kg this time. Unfortunately, due to travel limitations, I could only manage 4 kg. It arrived at my house on time, but that’s the only good thing I can say.
This batch is nothing like what I had before. It tastes like they’ve added way too much sugar and flour, and drastically reduced the milk content. The flavor is flat, overly sweet, and lacks the creamy richness that makes good burfi what it is. It feels like they’ve compromised on quality – cutting corners by replacing milk with more flour just to save cost or increase quantity.
It’s a huge letdown, especially when you’ve had the real deal before. I won’t be buying again unless they go back to their original recipe. Quality matters, and this just isn’t it.
